Here are a few applications which you can use to organize and edit photos. Choose an application (or add a new one) and discuss any or all of these questions:
Ribbit is a free online photo editing website that anyone can use and is very simple. You don't even have to be experienced in photo editing to figure it out, so its perfect for beginners who want to give it a try. You can use it to touch up pictures, add stickers, funny effects, and more. You can also use them to make collages for all occasions, cards, letters, you name it. They give you special effects and templates for holidays and occasions too. All you have to do is create an account and it will keep track of your uploaded photos and the changes you've made to them if you saved them previously. And when your done editing your photo all you have to do is click save and your can name the file, choose where you want it put in your computer and even choose the file size and quality. The only set back is some of the aspects of the editing tools are off limits to those who don't pay extra money. Luckily the costs to get the "premium edition" is very cheap, and worth it too. You can either get it for one month, 6 months or a year. This tool is really fun to play with and is great for school projects too if you want to enhance your photos for projects et cetera.

The only bad thing is if you want all the effects, you have to pay. There are some things that are free, but those are limited. This is called the "Premium Package" ( which in my opinion is a waste of money.)You can add text, seasonal things and stickers also.
This photo editing website has many good tools. It has quite a variety of ways of changing pictures to look a bit more crazy or pop art there are many different effects available. Although it is a very nice program the free version isn't very quick and the website are always trying to get you to upgrade to the money version which can be very irritating. But if compared with photobucket it is much easer to sign up and tells you right away if the username is avalible which i found was quite irritating in photo bucket. But if you are willing to wait a bit for the effects then a very good program in all. Another not so good thing, is that the little doodles or pictures that you can add onto the picture look quite unprofesional and too cartoon like.

If you want to, it has different links for different locations (for instance, it has a Direct Link, and an HTML Link). It even has a graph that shows your image views for the current week! But, it is mostly a photo/picture storage. Photo Bucket is fun because you can display your pictures on the internet. It is also a good storage place for your photos since you can access it on any computer. Unfortunately, there are some very annoying things. One thing is that you can only have a certain amount of photos on your account. Another thing that is very annoying (and very pointless) is that if your account is inactive for over 90 days, then your picture gets blocked, until you go on your account again.
In this website you can find many difficult and different photos.
It is really interesting to use this website because it is a postcard-maker, so you can create a postcard and send it around. There are many different banners of any type you want, and there is also an option that allows you to make the text appear handwritten. This makes it look very personalized. You could use this in an English class to practice writing letters. However, it is very slow, which isn't good.
Scrapblog has some really cool things, what do you think? This could come in handy if you want to add some cool affects to a powerpoint or poster.. but some of the things you might have to pay for, which don't really help that much! Hah!

Adobe Photoshop The basic thing that is this software does is edit pictures. You can do anything from just scaling the photo, to bringing in another picture and blend them together. For instance, if there was a picture of me, and I brought in a mustache picture from Google, I could make it so it looked like me having a mustache. Furthermore, you can change the color, shape, or anything you want with a picture. The way this software is built in templates can be very easy at times, but sometimes be very confusing. This is because the icons on the toolbar are not always easy to understand. Thus you do need to be taught how to use Adobe Photoshop. However, one very useful tool is the layer button. Here you can create an extra layer within the photo. This means that if you create an extra layer, and start making changes within that layer, you can take the layers away. Then whatever you did in that layer will be gone and the photo will look like it did before. It is also useful to label the layers in case you have many layers. This way you will stay organized. Anyhow, the software does exactly what it’s intended to do: edit pictures. As I’ve said before you can change and edit your picture in almost the exact way you want to. This is in fact why I like this app so much. It’s easy to get around, easy to edit the pictures. However, this is if you have had lessons on the software. It’s hard in the beginning but once you get used to it, it’s a very smooth app. On the other hand, the only thing I do not like about it is that some shortcuts are really hard and could have been made better. Lastly, this software could be used in class in various ways. For example, if there is one class you are making a movie in. Then you could take pictures and make them more realistic by editing them to fir whatever description you are making a movie out of. It's fun to use.. and it really does a nice job, but it's really confusing sometimes

It can put two pictures together such as a basketball and a soccer ball together. On adobe photoshop you can do lots of things such as make your pictures have different colours or you can make a picture blend in with another picture like a cheetahs head can be on a human head. The built in templates can sometimes be very easy but sometimes very confusing like there might be a shortcut for some things but to use photoshop you have to be taught. One very useful tool in this software is the button that makes like another layer that if you make a mistake on that layer you can go onto the original layer and start over easily. Another good one is the drawing tools because you get a wide selection of drawing tools its easy to make changes. It definitely does what it is supposed to do. I dislike how it is very complicated to do simple things but it is not complicated to do the easy thing like change the colour. This could be used in a project because sometimes you need to put photos in the project you can blend 2 photos and make a really good photo.
Apple iPhoto
iPhoto is basically a library of your photos but it also lets you edit and have fun with the photos. On this application, unlike Adobe Photoshop, when you are editing, it lets you do some simple things such as add effects, crop, adjust things such as brightness. This application is more like a tool to play with rather than a tool to do some work, therefore it would be ideal for you to edit and save your fun photos(with family, friends etc). If you are working on project, then use Adobe Photoshop and if you are playing or editing your fun photos, use this one.
The things that I and dislike about it are that it's quite easy to use and that it only lets you some simple editing.
And as it only lets you do some simple things, it is not an ideal application for you to use in class.
Flickr
Flickr is a image and video sharing website where thousands of images and photos are uploaded everyday. You can create a free flickr account to keep up with date.If you create an account you can upload 100MB of images a month. The website is available in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, which covers most of the major languages in the world. This website is always good if you are looking for an image for school work or just for fun as there are about a estimate of 5 billion images in the website!
